Game Description: Try to make the best poker hands possible by placing cards on the board! Rows and columns both count as hands! Play your cards wisely! Poker Solitaire (aka Poker Squares or Poker Patience) is a free solitaire card game where you try to build the best 5 card poker hands. In the classic solitaire poker mode (Poker Grid) you draw. Poker Solitaire uses one deck (52 cards).You have 25 tableau piles. Each tableau pile may contain only one card. You cannot move cards from one tableau pile to another. The object of the game
To make the highest possible total score for ten poker hand, represented by the five rows and the five columns. The scores are:
Royal flush: 30 10,J,Q,K, Ace of the same suit
Straight flush: 30 5 card sequence in same suit
Four of a kind: 16 4 of the same rank + 1 odd card
Streight: 12 all in sequence but not of one suit
Full house: 10 3 same-rank cards + 2 of another rank
Three of a kind: 6 3 same-rank cards + 2 odd cards
Flush: 5 all one suit but not in sequence
Two pairs: 3 2 pairs + 1 odd card
One pair: 1 1 pair + 3 odd cards
The game is counted as Won if your total score is 70 or more.
There is no redeal.
This game is entirely different from any other solitaire variations.

The Deal
Using one deck, the layout starts the game empty. The Stock flips over one card.
Stock
The face up card near the Stock must be played to the Poker hands or a Discard Pile. As each card is played, the Stock will automatically flip another card.
Layout
The 25 spaces may hold one card each and form 10 hands of 5 cards each (5 rows of cards and 5 columns of cards.) The card next to the Stock must be played to one of the Poker hands or one of the Discards.
Once a card is placed it may not be moved.

There are four spaces where cards may be placed that are not wanted in the Poker hands.
SoliTaireNetwork.com is liberal in the rules in providing these spaces. The actual game of Poker Square does not allow for discards. For a bigger challenge, try playing without the Discards.
Scoring
Scoring for the various Poker hands is based on the relative difficulty of obtaining a certain hand in a regular game of Poker.
Each of the 10 hands are scored as follows:

Flush | 20 | Q, 10, 6, 4, 3 of same suit (any 5 cards of the same suit) |
Straight | 15 | 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 of any suit. (5 sequential cards of any suit) |
3 of a Kind | 10 | K, K, K, X, X (any three cards of the same rank) |
Two Pair | 5 | A, A, 4, 4, X |
One Pair | 2 | Q, Q, X, X, X |
The scores from all 10 hands are added together to arrive at the final score.
